The Cottage -Evi
This traditional charming rustic Mountain Turkish Yayla Cottage has been carefully renovated maintaining all of its original features, but also adding some modern facilities, and offers a pool for those hot sunny summer days.
The area is a rural mountain farming community, and is surrounded by small fields, olive groves, orchards and pine forests. This area is very green due to the continual snow melt through the summer months. On walks you may pass goat herders, admire the stunning view of Fethiye bay at sunset, or find yourself a stone to sit a while and contemplate!
Until about June you will be surrounded by snow capped mountains. It takes about fifteen minutes to walk to our nearest neighbours, who of course only speak Turkish. There are miles of mountain tracks to explore.
This is an ideal retreat where you can relax and de-stress.
The cottage is about 50 minutes out of Fethiye, up into the Taurus Mountains, just above the ancient site of Tlos.
We are not far from Saklikent Gorge and only 10 minutes from Tlos Castle, and 5 minutes from the famous Yaka Park waterfall restaurants.
